Life & Little Things...Summer Reading

Let's talk books and Summer reading or just reading in general. My reading habits include: picking a few top choices and creating a TBR (to be read) and then I tell myself to focus on one book at a time and that quickly goes out the window lol
I end up having a couch book, bedtime book, kindle book, car/waiting around on errands book etc...

All that to say, here's what on my book stack/ TBR so far to kick off  my Summer Reading...

The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett who is also the author of The Help. I absolutely loved The Help and it's been a loooooooong time since she released a new book so this jumped to the top of my list

The Dungeon Crawler Carl series caught my attention during the Winter time. I picked up the first book and had a blast with it. It's so unique and fun. It's considered a LitRPG and did I mention it's fun and uniquely written? Snatched up a copy of book 2 in the series and now it's quickly becoming my whole personality lol

The Sweeney Sisters by Lian Dolan
Lian was gracious and kind enough to send me multiple signed copies to share with my in person book group along with lots of fun extra goodies! I have been a huge fan of hers for many many years.  Lian and her sisters have been podcasting before podcasting was even a thing. I was listing to them on the radio when they first started out. They are The Satellite Sisters and I highly recommend giving them a listen, following them on social media and of course reading her books. Also, be sure to follow Lian on Substack!  This just sounds like the perfect beach read or in my case, patio read.

and last but certainly not least, Cackle by Rachel Harrison is a witchy tale about a small town with a strange and mysterious history and a new girl in town that realizes things aren't what they seem. This also gives off Fall vibes if you are looking for that kind of spooky, magical realism, paranormal parallels, dark but entertaining story. I'm about at the halfway mark on this one and having fun seeing where this story is going.

What's on your Summer TBR? Do you read one book at a time or multiple books at once?
Do you prefer physical books, audio books or kindle/e-reader books?
Do you have bookshelves that are stuffed with great reads or do you prefer to use your library? I have multiple bookshelves and bins and stacks all over my house but I also have a kindle full of titles to choose from AND utilize my library constantly. Support your local libraries!!
Let me know what books you have enjoyed recently! I'd love to hear from you!

If you use Goodreads you can find my link HERE give me a follow and I'll follow back! I always love getting book recs from fellow readers.
