Marianna, I am in hysterics about your caption under the tree coming through the fence!! Then I thought that is pretty much how my butt looks too when picking up the toys that get pushed behind the couch *squeeze*!!
I would love to know what hatches out of that cocoon! I hope you are able to watch it hatch!
Nice shots Marianna, that is a cool cocoon a beautiful moth will come out of it. I'm sure your butt don't look anything like that squeezing behind the couch. LOL.

That stick covered thing is way too cool. I have never seen anything like it and would love to see what hatches out of it. Neat shots.
Love all the shots! That cocoon thing is awesome! I also love the sun on the grass and the tree trunk through the fence!

I think the cocoon thing is called bagworms and will eat the plant when they hatch, we have them on our cedars. I will never be able to squeeze between my 2 recliners anymore without thinking of that tree! Very funny!

LoL! you guys are too funny I'm glad I'm not the only one that has to squeeze and ooze myself into tight places :) and as for the cocoon thing, it's still there today. I took that pic a few days ago and have been checking on it everyday, still no change. I can't wait to see what comes out of it. I really hope I'm there when it happens. I'm going to go google the bagworms and moth cocoons and see if I can figure out what it is. It's a pretty big cocoon so whatever hatches is going to be big! eek I hope it's not gross lol!

It is a bag worm, and if left to it's own device it will eat the leaves on the entire tree. There are probably more on that you may not see. We have a horrible problem with these. They might be cool looking, but not after they destroy your trees. Now you just need to pick it off and burn it so what's inside doesn't hatch. Come spring you should spray for these.
