Pretty Little things...

So it's offical...Noah is a proud big brother...Lucas Benjamin was born Sunday June 27 at 11:47am and I'm so in LOVE!!

I was going to be induced on Monday but apparently he was listening to my pleads (and promises of lot's of cool toys) if he came sooner...plus I think all the walking I did ALL day NON stop Saturday helped too :) Shortly after midnight my contractions started up no holds bar but I managed to ignore them as best as possible until about 4:30am because I wasn't conviced it was real contractions and refused to go to the hospital and do the walk of shame. Suprisingly by the time I got to the hospital I was already half way there and by the time they checked me in and got my IV going (4 bad pokes later...not cool!) it was about 7:30am and I was able to get my Epi (BLISS!!!) and relax a bit and the next thing I knew it was showtime...3 contraction and less than 10 mins. later I had my little man staring up at me on my chest...it was love at first sight :)

what I've learned so far...
*I shouldn't have guzzled down my first caffeinated beverage in 9 mths down like a crazed lunatic
*I'm about to bounce of the walls
*Even though I sound like an American Idol reject my little Lulu-bird is my biggest fan
*I wonder how long I will get away with calling him Lulu-bird before he cuts me off
*Lulu-bird is just as big of a fan of Threes Company at 3:30 in the morning just like his mama
*Threes Company is followed by MASH which could quite possibly be the most boring show EVER and LB agrees...on the plus side it puts us both to sleep
*I shouldn't expect to feel back to "normal" already...or for a while...and I shouldn't be so hard on myself for it
*Smooching on baby cheeks is highly addicting  but lucky for me I don't think it's frowned upon by CPS (child protective services) otherwise I'd be in big trouble
*"Sleep when baby sleeps" is easier said than done
*no matter how sleep deprived I am, my night owl tendancies don't seem to want to let up and it's starting to work against me (damn you Real Housewives re-runs!)
*I can no longer type because my hands are shaking from caffeine overload
*no worries, I'm still fill, packing and shipping orders and in the next couple of days I'll be finishing up any custom orders that I was working on Pre Baby so don't fret I haven't forgotten about you :)
*baby is sleeping and I've wrecked my chance to "sleep when baby sleeps" with my bad (but oh so yummy) choice of beverage ...better luck next time

I'm off to go smooch on baby cheeks try to relax or perhaps sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and some fresh air for a few minutes while I have the chance.

PS. Thank you so much for all the wonderful emails, facebook comments and blog comments on baby Lucas and my bead soup party reveal pieces!!!
