Fun Friday!
what a busy week! I'm so glad it's Friday. Today I have been working on pictures, book reviews and a knitting project and now I'm about to finish up some necklace designs so I can get those pictures together for updates as well. The plan is to have a laid back weekend to do whatever floats our boat and whatever the weather permits but I think weather wise we're in the clear until monday. Anyhow, I finally have completed pictures of the coral reef cubes and siam custom order I've been working on and now per request of my incredibly sweet customer Christy she's had me do up some really cool rings to match and I'm in love with them they are sooooo cool. I do them quite often except for some reason I've never used cubes and it's so gorgeous! Your going to LOVE everything Christy! I don't think I'm going to start any new orders over the weekend I think I'll take the weekend to get some things together for the Blueberry festival and boutiques and the new items photo's uploaded for the next update but check back later for a peek at Christy's awesome custom order that I've finished up and also check back on Monday for a possible sneak peek on a bridal order I'll have started because it's a new design custom for this bridal party and it's a gorgeous design that will be coming soon to the Bridal Suite as well. And now for Readers Corner: Readers corner is long overdue. I won't backtrack to too many past reads I'll try and stick to my recent and current reads. I've been on a young adult kick lately so I've picked up Sixteen by Megan Magafferty who put together a collection of short stories by a ton of well known authors. The stories are terrific and quick. I just completed the book and my review for Time Warner Books on a new series that's coming out soon called the Callahan Cousins which was a really fun read about a group of young girls who are cousins and meet up for a reunion of sorts at their grandma's house on Gull Island to spend the summer. I really enjoyed that and look forward to the other 3 books in the series. I'm also just about done with Mates, Dates and Sequin Smiles by Cathy Hopkins it's part of a series that I have been reading for a while now and it's hilarious and british and the dialogue is british and fantastic and it's an all around terrific YA series. Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy who is just one of my most favorite funniest and most gorgeous females on the face of the earth in my opinion writes about all the craziness and disgusting things that happen to women during pregnancy that most women are too embarrassed to talk about, I've never laughed so hard it was such a fantastic read, made me feel a heck of alot more normal and I read it in one sitting just laughing away and nodding to myself. I've also just started Blessings by Anna Quindelin a grown up book for a change lol! I can't tell you too much about it as I have just started it. I'm also reading a screen play that my friend Larry wrote and hopes to submit it to the Toronto Film Festival so I'm reading through it to help him out with it but so far so good Larry! I'm really liking it! I'm also about to begin Nature of Water and Air by Regina Mcbride with my BookMasters Group
head on over and join in it's open to the public and easy to fit into you schedule if you've always wanted to join a reading group! Read at your own pace, questions are posted and you can discuss the questions at your own pace and we're a terrific group of readers and authors. So that's what's on and about to be on my reading agenda for the week. Hope you enjoyed Reader's Corner and have a terrific weekend! By the way who else is looking forward to the Oscars on Sunday!!!??? I'll be back on with some sneak peeks later!
